The universe is expanding, so is our world. There’s a strange theory that, right from the birth of the universe (The Big bang theory) it keeps widening, but there is no end or not even an edge to the space. In this eternal universe, Our Milky way galaxy is just a micro dust in a huge cricket stadium.
So, let’s not get into the space science too much. In this unimaginable universe there exists a Natural satellite which has a diameter of 1/4th of its parent planet Earth, also called as Luna, Chandra i.e. The Moon. A recent theory “Giant-Impact” says that the Moon was formed during a collision between the Earth and another small planet which is about the size of the Mars.
I am a ‘Selenophile’ which means a person who is fond of or loves the moon. I’ve always admired the moon since my childhood and thought it’s just a bright glowing ball in the night sky, until I witnessed a close photograph of the Majestic moon ruling the dark space. I noticed every minute details of the huge Craters formed by the impacts made by asteroids and comets. I’m also fascinated by the dark and light spots of the original colour.
One of my biggest inspirations in my life forever is the one and only missile man and the former president of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, who was the main contributor to the great mission “Chandrayan 2”. He also invented rockets and missiles which made the Indian defence stronger and threatened the neighbouring countries at that time. Not only this, he had taught me life lessons and is an example of pure Determination and Hard work which is exemplary and how can I not talk about another Legend He is none other than “Nambi Narayanan” whose life was depicted in the movie “Rocketry”. He was a former space scientist who found the “Vikas engine”, the first liquid-fueled rocket engine in Asia. It is still being used in the Indian rockets and also for India’s next biggest mission “Gaganyaan”.
Coming back to the topic, I have compared the moon to the reality of life and I’m going to give you a glimpse of it. Like the moon, in everybody’s life, there will be a darker side and a brighter side. We have to overcome the dark side and develop our bright side. Both moon and our lives are not perfect. While the moon has craters and dunes formed by the impact of asteroids, we have our problems, stress and depression formed by the impact of overthinking and self-doubts.
When both moon and us have our tough times, we will be lost and the moon will disappear in a new moon day, but it comes again brighter in a full moon day. Like the emerging ball of glory, we should come back stronger, brighter and undefeatable. Every single individual should be unique and standalone from the crowd similar to the moon which is more distinctive to our eyes than all the other stars. But the sad truth is that The Moon is moving 4 centimetres away from the earth every year but it will take billions of years to affect life on earth. So let us join together to protect and experience this Wonder within our lifetime.
The Moon will guide you through the night with her brightness, but she will always dwell in the darkness in order to be seen. Spread positivity and Live Kindly.
